Extremely popular for her lip-sync videos on the internet, this young techie, who worked in the US for a while, is popularly known as “Junior Samantha” for her striking resemblances with the South Superstar. Her lip-sync video with popular TV host Pradeep Machiraju went viral. Ashu is a diehard Pawan Kalyan fan and even acted in one of his productions as well.
The internet sensation-turned-anchor was a part of Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 in the past. She got evicted mid-way but managed to grab attention with her brief stint in the season hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni.
Her equation with BFF Rahul Sipligunj after the conclusion of the season was one of the most talked-about topics, too. They were linked up on several occasions but the two have maintained that they are just friends.
Ashu turned a host for the non-fiction show Happy Days. She is currently co-hosting the show with seasoned anchor Ravi. It is a game show featuring a young crowd. Ravi, who was a part of Bigg Boss Telugu 5, returned to the show recently.
Ashu’s pictures and videos from the show often spark a discussion among her Instagram followers and become fodder for memes. She doesn’t shy away from experimenting with her looks and posting glamorous pictures on social media. Ashu has made several cameo appearances in the comedy show ‘Comedy Stars’ as well.
“Back then, I was on a different tangent. I was still trying to cope up with a breakup and had no clue where I was and what I was doing. I didn’t know who’s what, too. Neither was I in the space to give anyone that scope to get close nor take any chances. But now, I’ve been working here for quite some time and I will know what is what. I will try to be the chatterbox that I am (laughs). Basically, try not to get into that emotional zone and be at my entertaining best. I would like to be more active and focused on entertaining the viewers if at all I’d go to Bigg Boss (laughs),” Ashu told ETimes TV recently.
It remains to be seen how she can perform in the OTT version.
